Living in Lompoc, California, Lloyd G. LeCain has established a career in the military and private sectors as a maritime professional. Educated at Texas A&M University, Lloyd G. LeCain completed a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation from the school’s Texas Maritime Academy. A loyal Aggie from the class of 1972, he remains involved with the The Association of Former Students of Texas A&M University. In addition to gaining leadership, self-discipline, and management skills in college, Mr. LeCain achieved the rank of Captain in the U.S. Navy Reserve. Now retired, Lloyd G. LeCain remains involved with the Navy Reserves’ support services in Ventura County, California. As a Readiness Instructor, Mr. LeCain provides a variety of services to reserve members and their families, including deployment support, emergency preparedness and response, and career development options. He supplies students with one-year memberships to the Naval Institute, as well as copies of two important publications: Guide to Naval Writing and Ethics for the Junior Officer. By giving students these resources at his own cost, he promotes intellectual activity as pupils pursue careers in military and civilian life. For excellence as an Instructor and loyalty to the U.S. Navy Reserve, Lloyd G. LeCain has received the honor of a classroom named after him at Naval Base Ventura County. Mr. LeCain also contributes to the military as an annual donor for the U.S. Naval Institute and has been recognized as a member of the Commodores Club and the Leadership Circle. As a gesture of support for the Naval Institute, Lloyd G. LeCain has donated his Navy dress sword and its accompanying belt, scabbard, and case, a gift the Institute’s leaders noted as an honor to accept in an issue of Proceedings magazine. In addition to efforts with the Navy Reserve, Lloyd G. LeCain serves as the CEO of the military contracting firm Executive Concepts. While not working, Lloyd G. LeCain enjoys spending time with his wife, who also retired from the Navy Reserve with the rank of Captain. Additionally, Mr. LeCain maintains an interest in the history of weapons and spends time gardening and working out at a gym.
